Tussock Grasslands: Landscape Values and Vulnerability (1987)

"Tussock grasslands" - to many, this term evokes images of wide open spaces, hills and valleys, peace and solitude, a rich history with myths and romantic nostalgia, sheep quietly grazing, and always the tawny grasses as far as one can see. Others see seriously altered environments, with potential for increased land development which would further alter the character of these areas.
