Community Plans
A rapid planning process has been developed in a form of charrette which enables communities to draw up agreed plans for their neighbourhood/town/district/river/etc. Lucas Associates have successfully facilitated and documented quite a number of such community planning processes over the last 15 years. Plans have resulted which have addressed both immediate concerns and wider sustainability responsibilities. Transport, open space and built density options have been major issues for which completely new directions have been sought and agreed to by the community participants. Process and product examples are presented on the left.
